Of course this blog is meant to be all about my gap year, but last Thursday it was results day!! The day that determined my path after I come home from Uganda. Will I get AAA? CCC? UUU? Will I get into UEA? Portsmouth? Or fall headfirst into the dreaded clearing process?
On Thursday I only got 3 hours sleep and sat refreshing the UCAS page every minute from 5.30am, and I have no doubt that I was joined by thousands of 18-year-olds across the country.
Then finally at 7:30am, this lovely little message popped up onto my screen...
I just burst into tears! Mum was jumping round the house, Dad was cheering, I was just SO relieved! We then went down the school to collect my results, I was offered a place at UEA if I got ABB but I got BBB and they still accepted me! (may have been because I name dropped David Cameron in my personal statement). Anyway here's a cute little photo of me and my pals all feeling very proud of ourselves and eachother:
I can now go to Uganda with the peace of mind that I have got into my favourite uni, and that I will be doing a course I am passionate about. Thank you for all your support and prayers xxxx
