Hello! I thought I would start a blog about my upcoming gap year in Uganda with the charity Smile International!
So I've had a countdown on my phone for a good few months now and today it reads 48 days! It feels like only yesterday I was excited because it said 100!!
For one week in September I will be in Kent for my gap year training, here I will meet my four other team members which is very exciting! It's weird that I've never met these people before and I'll be living with them for the next nine months, but I suppose that's what it's like moving into uni accomodation!
Then on 1st October we will be flying out to Uganda! We will be living in the Smile House just outside Kampala :) Hopefully I will be able to update this blog with stories and photos of what we've been doing.
Thank you so much for all your incredible support. We are nearly there with the fundraising and I am so grateful and humbled by people's generosity.
